Rheged's centrepiece is a giant cinema screen, the size of six double decker
buses. Enjoy epic adventure family movies shown daily all from the comfort
of your cinema seat, including: Rheged - The Movie, a dramatic journey of
myths, legends and spectacular views of Cumbria - The Lake District and
Everest - The Movie is a breathtaking journey to the top of the world. New
for 2004 are other spectacular new large format family films
Everest is the perfect complement to The Helly Hansen National
Mountaineering Exhibition (permanent) also at Rheged. New until Autumn 2004,
why not visit a Special Exhibition Everest: The Top of the World Exhibition,
an exhibition of international significance celebrating 50 years of Everest!
There is free parking and entry to this breath-taking building, where you
will also find the finest in local craft and gift shops, Mountain Life -
Rheged's outdoor adventure shop, pottery demonstrations, Artists'
Exhibitions, a restaurant combining local delicacies with mountain views and
an indoor children's play area.
